Finance & Money

Had kind of like a financial wake up call today.

So my 0% credit card deal quietly expired today. I knew it was coming but seeing it flip to over 25% apr, I could not take that oo. So I have small savings of almost £2,000 and the card balance is like £1,923. The logical thing is obvious but I froze on it because clearing it means I am left with essentially nothing in the bank. Just around £77 sitting there. That feeling of having zero savings genuinely unsettled me even when I know mathematically it is the right call. I sha cleared it, but omooo, o ja mi lara je 🥲, looking at my balance right now is so uncomfortable. But at least no debt. The plan is sha to rebuild steadily from here. And not to use that credit again, na trap, Lol thank you for reading my rant

You did the hard thing though. Debt free with £77 beats £2k savings and a 25% APR quietly eating you alive any day.

credit cards are the worst to be honest, but then you also need to watch your spending. i always advice against using it. those credit companies know what they are doing
